Decorated and imported pottery from Tossal of Sant Miquel

Vitrina 93
As in La Bastida or Villares, pottery from Tossal de Sant Miquel encompasses local materials, Iberian productions and imported ones. Among the former are some fragments with figurative decoration such as the kalathos known as the 'Lady on the Mirror', which was one of the first pieces with figurative decoration discovered on the southern slope of Tossal and which prompted the area of digging in the 1930’s.
Also in this showcase are the well-known fish dishes, which are flat dinner dishes, sometimes with a central cup that imitate Greek and Italic models, decorated with painted fish inside.
With regard to imported pottery, material culture is made up of Greek and Italian tableware, Punic mortars and imitations of black-glaze vessels made in Ibiza.
